Our top technicians earn $54.84 per hour.

Have you thought about becoming an automotive technician? With more than 100 years in experience in our shop, we’ll take you under our wing and help train you from the ground up.

Due to our expanding customer base and high loyalty customers we are needing to higher more quality technicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general automotive maintenance
  • Perform line technician services
  • Routine inspections/ maintenance and system diagnosis
  • Repair of various makes and models
  • Full automotive troubleshooting and testing-based on experience
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of new technologies and practice
  • EAGER TO LEARN AND GROW

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must have own tools
  • Three-year general automotive experience
  • ASE certifications is a plus!
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of current sales and sales targets
  • Conduct sales transactions with adherence to store/company policies and procedures
  • Participate in training programs, learning about our products, our programs and our customers
  • Listen to customers automotive concerns, explain any problems found with their vehicle, and facilitate completion of the work in a timely manner.
  • Assist other store team members as needed

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Above average verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the company as well as customers, vendors and visitors
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair and the automotive industry will be helpful
  • Ability to function in a stressful environment, under substantial time pressure
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Duties and Responsibilities may include:

  • Helps customer with vehicle selection and promotes model options and features, value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policies
  • Conducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits all other rules of the road are followed
  • Negotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion
  • Helps facilitate delivery by providing a clear explanation of vehicle and features operation, warranty, and servicing requirements
  • Maintains accurate sales documentation
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all vehicles, accessories, financing options, and promotions
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
  • Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation/closing skills -Self-motivated, goal-oriented and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Consistent and stable work history
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • 2-5 years sales experience, preferably in the automotive industry.

When I joined Don Hattan, my grandfather and father had built the company providing hometown values and service to the customer. However, the automobile industry has a reputation of its own. It is my challenge to continue to set us apart from that perception.

We work hard every day to provide an experience for our customers that is one they can trust and one that is absolutely hassle free. We do this by supporting each other so we can deliver that exceptional customer service and grow our brand. We provide new employees with Ambassador Training to acquaint new employees.

We also have traditional paid training as well as our in-house development program, Emerging Leaders, that promotes professional and personal growth.

My husband, Ben Thomas, joined the Don Hattan team in 2004 and is committed to the personal growth of the people in our company. We both believe our main focus must be on our people.
